Viruses, Trojans and Other Malware

How can you prevent getting infected?
Turn on automatic updates for your operating system as well as applications.
Use an antivirus and/or antispyware program and keep it up to date.
Use a popup blocker. Popups behind your browser are often used to install malware.
Use stricter Internet Explorer security settings.
Block ActiveX installation.
Be careful of any programs you download. Free programs are often infected with malware. .
